Singapore GST Calculator
Add GST to a net price or work the GST back out of a GST-inclusive total, using Singapore's 9% rate or any rate you enter.
Singapore charges Goods and Services Tax (GST), which rose to 9% from 1 January 2024. This calculator works both ways: enter a price before tax to see the GST-inclusive total, or enter a GST-inclusive total to back out the net price and the tax portion. Change the rate field if your goods fall under a different band.
How to add and remove GST
Adding GST multiplies the net price by one plus the rate; removing it divides the gross price by one plus the rate.
Remove: Net = Gross ÷ (1 + rate ÷ 100)
GST = Gross − Net
| Net price | + 9% GST | Gross |
|---|---|---|
| $10.00 | $0.90 | $10.90 |
| $50.00 | $4.50 | $54.50 |
| $100.00 | $9.00 | $109.00 |
Worked example
Removing GST from a $109.00 GST-inclusive total at 9%:
| Net = $109.00 ÷ 1.09 | $100.00 |
| GST = gross − net | $9.00 |
When to change the rate
The default is Singapore's standard GST rate, but not everything is taxed at the standard rate. Reduced and zero rates apply to specific categories, and rates change over time. If your invoice shows a different rate, type it into the rate field and the calculator adjusts. For anything you're filing or invoicing, follow IRAS's current guidance.
