SGPA — the Semester Grade Point Average — measures how you did in a single semester on the 10-point scale. To turn it into a percentage, universities apply the same kind of formula they use for CGPA. This calculator converts an SGPA to a percentage with the general UGC rule by default, and lets you switch to a direct multiply-by-ten or your institution's specific formula.
How SGPA converts to percentage
Choose the formula your university uses. The UGC guideline subtracts 0.75 and multiplies by ten; some universities multiply directly by ten.
Direct: % = SGPA × 10
Mumbai University (Engineering): % = 7.1 × SGPA + 11

SGPA, CGPA and percentage
Don't confuse the three. SGPA is one semester; CGPA is your cumulative average across all completed semesters, weighted by credits; and percentage is either of those run through a conversion formula. To get your CGPA, average all your semester SGPAs by their credit loads, then convert that CGPA to a percentage. Converting a single SGPA gives only that semester's equivalent percentage, which is useful for internships or interim applications but isn't your final degree percentage.
